The Megabass Shadow Pangea SP-92L is a 2 piece, 9’2”, fast action, light powered, shore casting spinning rod that is ideal for working lures up to 25grams in weight or between 7-11cm in length (e.g Megabass’ X-80 SW, OneTen Jr SW, OneTen SW, Cutter 115, CutVIB etc). What makes this rod unique is its ability to cast lures with accuracy and distance, which is directly attributable to its blank’s construction. The Shadow Pangea’s blank uses a 6-axis carbon fibre cross weave that gives the rod its torsional rigidity to reduce tip casting reverberations (that has the effect of dampening casting distance). In addition, Fuji Titanium Torsite spinning guides and tip are used to improve casting distance whilst further reducing overall weight. Double wrappings are used on the stripper and second guide to take the full impact of each cast. Joint areas between the 2 blank sections are reinforced with bi-directional box weave carbon fibre to give added strength to the spigot joint. To top it off, the handle grip section is ergonomically shaped to ensure comfort particularly during prolonged casting. The Shadow Pangea SP-92L comes with a short grip length, making it easy to work the rod, an attribute, which all shore based anglers would appreciate, particularly whilst wading in chest deep water in search of sea bass.
