The Megabass X-Drift is a 14 gram, prawn shaped, sinking lipless crank lure that has been designed to be fished in current eddies that have been steered up around bridge pylons. Its tall profile and wide base allows the X-Drift to be caught in the current swirl and to be worked like a fleeing shrimp, darting and falling on a lift and drop action of the rod tip. To assentuate the X-Drift’s action, Megabass has given a small amount of side-to-side free play of the lure’s internal weight balancer, which will increase the lure’s roll and tail wiggle as it is being retrieved. In addition, a tinsel tail has been added to enhance the X-Drift’s allure on a fall to entice a strike. Hook ups are more assured with the incorporation of a belly swivel that allows for free rotation of the treble hook, whilst reduces the chances of losing the fish during a prolonged fight.
