The Megabass Shading-X55 is a narrow profiled, 55mm, 3.54grams (1/8oz), finesse, suspending minnow fishing lure that is designed for midwater action. The lure comes equipped with a 22mm willow shaped bib and an internal weight transfer bearing that will make the Shading-X55 produce a tight wobble as it dives to a depth of up to 2m (6.5ft) on a constant retrieve. Once retrieving is stopped, the lure will come to a stand still and suspend at the depth that is worked at. On a jerk-pause-jerk retrieve pattern, the Shading-X55 can be made to dart erratically from side to side, sending off reaction signals to entice a prey to take a potshot at it. To add to its appeal, the lure is designed to produce an accentuated roll with its weight transfer system positioned high up in its dorsal section, where the intended consequence is to allow for maximum amount of light to reflect of its flanks to catch the attention of its prey. In addition, the balancer bearing in its belly is housed in a lateral chamber that allows for a certain amount of side-to-side travel, which not only contributes to the roll, but also adds to the Shading-X55’s modest sound track produced by the moving balancer bearings.
