The Rapala RCD 6” Mag Spring Split Ring Pliers is a stainless steel, straight nose, split ring fishing plier that features a unique magnetic device (aka Mag Spring) that aids in keeping open the jaws of the plier for ease of rapid use. This unique device consist of two opposing magnets located at the pivot point on either handle that works against each other to keep the jaws open. The Mag Spring represents an improvement over conventional spring loaded devices found with other pliers that often corrode and fail with repeated contact with water. The RCD6” Mag Spring Split Ring Pliers comes equipped with a split ring opener designed for #3-5 split rings, a serrated jaws (finished in gun smoke) to provide a solid grip and a line cutter that is ideal for trimming leader lines. The pliers are ergonomically shaped with molded Soft Grip handles that provide for a safe and secure grip. The top handle of the pliers includes a lug for secure lanyard attachment or with Rapala's RCD Magentic Release to ensure that the pliers securely fastened to the angler during use.
