Megabass Singapore – Rod Warranty (“Warranty”)

Yes you will. 

All Megabass rods (“Rod(s)”) purchased in Singapore through Eastackle Pte Ltd (or its authorized reseller) shall be warranted by Megabass Japan against Rod breakage (i.e. breakage of the blank of the Rod) caused by a defect in material and/or workmanship. 

The warranty coverage is for a period of one (1) year ("Warranty Term”) from the date of actual purchase

Megabass Japan requires that Eastackle Pte Ltd ship your broken rod to Japan for Megabass Japan's inspection, and based on their inspection and acceptance that such breakage resulted from a defect in material and/or workmanship, will replace the broken Rod at 50% of the then current purchase price of the Rod as advertised on Eastackle Pte Ltd’s website (www.eastackle.com).

That means that, if a Rod is advertised at SGD600 at the time of the Warranty claim, the replacement cost payable to Eastackle Pte Ltd is SGD300

Yes you do, through Eastackle Pte Ltd’s online registration system (click here) within fourteen (14) calendar days of purchase from Eastackle Pte Ltd or its authorized reseller.
Bring along with you, your:

(1) Order receipt for your rod that you bought from Eastackle Pte Ltd (or its authorized reseller),
(2) the Warranty Card and
(3) the broken Rod

Yes there is, so read this carefully. This Warranty is non-transferrable and shall not apply to Rods:

(i) Whose Warranty Term have expired;
(ii) Purchased from an individual or entity other than from Eastackle Pte Ltd (or its authorized reseller);
(iii) Broken other than arising from a defect in material and/or workmanship;
(iv) Modified in any way or form; 
(v) Exchanged without its original components (e.g. guides, reel seat components etc other than such components bound to such sections of the Rod blank that have been lost as a result of the breakage); and/or
(vi) Purchased from outside of Singapore
